My favourite location to photograph is on the balcony of the Cambrian Cafe Bar which is located on the southside of the airfield. It offers great views of both the airfield and aircraft landing in either direction A bonus is that it also provides shelter during the excellent Welsh weather that we have.
Many regulars frequent the balcony and is a great location for socialising and the food is excellent too. www.thecambrian-rhoose.co.uk

Best location for images of aircraft landing while Runway 30 in use is the field within the Porthkerry Caravan Park at the bottom of the runway.
Unfortunately there is no shelter from the elements at this location however the clubhouse is located around the corner.

Please note: Refreshments are available on Sundays when the car boot sale is held in the same field.
Best location for images of aircraft landing while Runway 12 is next to the farmers gate just off the B4265 following the turning for the Highwayman Secure Parking.
Unfortunately there is no shelter from the elements at this location.
